He performed The Wall as a concert, performing as ‘Pink Floyd’.
Yall are incredibly goddamn stupid.
I’m still confused.
They don’t know who the character he is playing is, and are treating it as being the same as Roger, which is very funny in context.
I mean, the lyrics are pretty obvious at that meant. For one, he condemns people who smoke pot.
Which was definitely his band and a huge chunk of their audience.

For fifty years, left and right wing people enjoyed this song because they knew he was condemning not just fascists, but the idolization of musicians, political and religious leaders et al, the willingness to surrender your will to worship someone putting on a show, and lose your own moral compass.
I mean, if you think Roger sincerely believed this stuff, would you not wonder at why he wants his own band and audience to be shot?
